Who is e&a consultants?

We’re a small and dynamic team of consultants, specialising in market access (pricing and reimbursement) and public affairs in the Benelux. We mostly support SMEs and pharmaceutical start-ups which focus on rare diseases in bringing their innovative medicine to the market. Because we believe every patient deserves proper care.

Make a difference as a consultant

As a market access consultant, you’ll work closely with a variety of clients active in different therapeutic areas, helping them bring innovative medicine to market. Because we support clients with a tailor-made approach, each project will be excitingly different. Collaboration with colleagues and clients alike will be essential. Among other things, your tasks will include:

• Writing and following up on pricing and reimbursement dossiers in close collaboration with your colleagues and your clients, from pre-submission until the final reimbursement.
• Supporting the analysis of the evolution of the Belgian and Luxembourg healthcare systems by keeping track of government initiatives regarding healthcare, law changes and other developments.
• Being involved in the post-reimbursement process of medicines (e.g. Managed Entry Agreements and individual revisions) to ensure their availability to Belgian patients.

Who are you?

You are a true planner who loves to be one step ahead and execute a strategy meticulously. You’re a flexible worker, eager to share ideas, learn new things and strive for quality in your work. In terms of education and experience, you have…

• a university degree in Sciences (e.g. MD, MPharmSc, BioMed Sc, Bio Eng...) or an economic degree with demonstrated interest in the pharmaceutical industry.
• excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
• a proven ability to understand and clearly communicate medical and/or scientific topics.

Develop your expertise in market access

To help you get started as a market access consultant, our team will immerse you in the key principles and procedures of market access through interactive trainings.

Afterwards, learning and development continues to play a key role. As consultants, we need to be on top of the latest regulations, procedural changes or other developments within the industry. That is why we will regularly propose trainings and workshops you can follow that match your interests and help our team grow.

To foster your well-being aside from your professional growth, you’ll receive support from a confidant within our team with whom you’ll be able to discuss any issues or concerns in one-to-one talks.

STEP TWO | LET’S MEET

This first interview is an opportunity for us to get to know each other better. What excites you about market access? What are your job expectations? We will tell you ours as well and explain a bit more about our team and work culture.

STEP THREE | SHOW YOUR SKILLS

Next, we want to evaluate your reasoning skills and ability to design and present a strategy, which will be an essential part of your role as a market access consultant. We will present you with a hypothetical case, a new medicine for which a client wants to request a reimbursement, and offer your various resources to help you design a strategy. There are no wrong answers. How you solve the case is more important than your final strategy proposal. Afterwards, we’ll discuss the process and your experience in an open conversation.

STEP FOUR | LET’S EVALUATE

Time to sit down and reflect: is it a match? In a final conversation, we answer any remaining questions you might have and compare impressions to evaluate whether we see a future together.
