Market Access Officer

The Function

We are looking for an Market Access Officer to join our young and dynamic team in order to respond to the growing number of projects. The offices are located at Tervuren with a co-working space at Diegem. The Market Access Officer will report to the Managing Director and work together with the entire team as well as with clients and stakeholders.

The main tasks of the Market Access Officer will be:

  • Scientific input for and medical writing of Pricing and Reimbursement files

  • Administration and Follow-up of Pricing and Reimbursement Procedures

  • Stakeholder mapping and management

  • Organize advisory boards

  • Analyse the evolution in the Belgian and Luxembourg healthcare systems

 

Job Description

 

  • Develop the scientific backbone of the Pricing and Reimbursement dossiers based on Systematic Literature Review and/or Corporate Value Dossiers.

  • Write the Pricing and Reimbursement dossiers according to legislation and templates.

  • Translate the dossier into a comprehensive Position Paper to be disseminated to stakeholders

  • Proceed with the administration of the pricing & reimbursement submission

  • Follow the reimbursement process from pre-submission meeting until reimbursement including reviewing Reports and follow-up on questions.

  • Map and manage the relevant key stakeholders, influential actors and decision makers and continuously update the information in order to develop partnerships with patient associations, healthcare provider associations (physicians, pharmacists, hospital, nurses…), sickness funds, trade associations, think tanks…

  • Help perform public policy and strategy assessments.  Gather, interpret, and disseminate information on government initiatives regarding healthcare.

  • Monitor and analyse new governments initiatives, potential change in law and broader developments (including parliamentary activities; both regarding healthcare and industrial policies); identify key trends.

  • Contribute to policy related communications efforts, including policy newsletters, position papers and advocacy documents

  • Set up expert and payers meetings as well as decision maker meetings and related project

 

Profile

 

Education & Experience

 

  • University degree in Sciences (preferably MD or Pharmacist) or an Economic degree with demonstrated interest in the Pharmaceutical Industry.

  • A first (1 – 3 years) experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of and experience in Market Access and/or Pharmaceutical/Regulatory Affairs is a clear asset.

  • Knowledge of and interest in the Belgian political and healthcare systems. Good understanding of the challenges of the innovative pharmaceutical sector and the healthcare sector in general

  • Experience in managing multiple tasks/projects/priorities and complex issues.

  • Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate medical and/or scientific topics

  • Understanding of and/or experience in drug product pricing & reimbursement and listing processes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, French and English; ability to make complex issues easy to understand; good affinity to adapt messaging to the relevant audiences
